My name is Gayle Smith and I have lived in Morristown all my life. I am a member of Calvue Baptist Church, and that is where I met my husband Doug. We got married in 1986. We have three children, Adam, Taylor and Hannah. We have one granddaughter who is the absolute light of our life.
I began my education for nursing at Walters State Community College and graduated in 1995. I have had many great jobs in nursing that made me want to continue my education. In 2011, I graduated from the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Carson Newman. I again, have been so blessed to have great jobs that have taught me so much. I am so thankful because those jobs have led me to where I am now. I am thankful for the people that I met along the way and the friendships that were forged. I am also grateful for the mentors that I have had and to the ones who continue to guide me. Some physicians and other nurse practitioners enjoy their art, and they love to teach and share information and their pearls of wisdom and to this I am forever grateful.
We are now in 2019 and with my husband and my family’s support, we have created a primary care clinic for all ages. Because of our faith and belief in a higher power, we named the clinic Faith Medical Group. I wanted a place where I can treat my patients with the same care and respect that I would want my family treated. My goal is to have each and every person that enters the door to the office feel welcomed and treated with respect. I want them to feel better just by being here.
